About Us
How it started
This business didn’t start in some professional kitchen. It actually started in my college dorm when I was 19. At the time, I was a student studying business and psychology, but honestly, I was mostly just a person who couldn't find a real alfajor. I was looking for that specific, melt in your mouth shortbread and the rich dulce de leche from the family recipes I remembered from back home, and since I couldn't find it anywhere, I just started making them myself.
Small batches and a lot of hustle
What started as a dorm-room experiment between classes eventually turned into a full blown passion. I’m still a solo founder today, and I’m still the one doing all the heavy lifting. Whether I’m hand-filling alfajores with my family's favorite dulce de leche, prepping a batch of arrollado, or standing over a hot grill at a festival for a choripán run, every single thing I make has that same "no shortcuts" attitude I had when I was 19.
Bringing a piece of home to you
You can still find me at my two favorite farmers markets every month (Ramsey, NJ/Piermont, NY), but things are growing. We’re finally bringing these Argentinian traditions into local cafes and shipping them straight to your door. I’ve always believed that food is the best way to share a culture, and I’m really honored to get to share a piece of my family's heritage with you.
